The AP Spanish Test

The day after the Spanish AP test, Damon and I wrote a little celebratory poem, and I just got around to posting it now. Enjoy.

In the Midst of APs

Here we are, we have succeeded,
To pancakes and candy we have been treated,
We worried and sweated
And foolishly fretted,
Keeping up a steady whine,
But in the end we were fine.

The truth is we're not quite finished yet
To next Wednesday our sights we must set
Two more tests we must face
Let's study in case
There's a chance we can pass
But my resolve's fragile as glass

What you have said is true,
And I admit that with rue,
However the hardest is done,
Now is time for a little fun,
Because this is a great chance,
To calm, relax, and "dance."

Your optimism disgusts me
I'm full of distrust, see
My knowledge isn't enough
I really don't know my stuff
I sit back with a sigh
At least I can try

That's all you can do,
So please, don't you stew,
You have a fine brain,
As right as rain,
Fast as five Mac's
And full of facts.

I suppose that you're right
Pass these tests, I just might
But we'll just have to wait
Until that far-off July date
When the grades come
It's not going to be fun.
